The Gateway Technology Center includes special features designed to facilitate distance education and foster individual and collaborative learning. The ECU/NCSU GTC computer classroom has 24 student desks in the classroom with polycom teleconferencing capabilities in 768 square footage of space (32'x24'). Each student desk is equipped with a HP dc7600 Minitower e/w Intel Pentium 4 - 3.2 ghz, 1 GB Base Memory, 80 GB Hard drive, Optical drive - 48x/32x Combo Drive, Gigabit Ethernet networking, HP L1755 17-inch Flat Panel Display. Internet bandwidth is 5 meg, Fast Ethernet connection.
